Graduates from Ewan's Introductory Leather Workshops (or with an equivalent or greater level of expertise in the craft) are invited to propose a Leatherwork Project that they could undertake with help and supervision from Ewan.
We plan to restart Leatherwork Projects activities for 2019 on Wednesday 20 February 2019 - that is the week after our Bunnings sausage sizzle on 13 February. The plan is to continue our Wednesday mornings sessions, undertaking leatherwork projects as proposed by individuals or by the group of "regulars" - graduates of the Introductory Leather Workshop series.
Projects will include production of a stock of leather items that the Shed can offer for sale at fetes or other major public events. Individuals can also bring in their own projects, or propose other group projects. Ewan will be available for guidance and advice.
Numbers for these project sessions will be limited to five or six, depending on the potential for other demands on the workspaces. So we may have to introduce registration to each session, as more graduates from the Introductory Workshops join the group.
Where individuals bring in their personal projects, they will be charged around cost price for materials (eg leather, buckles, clips, soling etc.) supplied from the SBMS stocks. SBMS will, of course, provide materials for production of SBMS stocks for sale.
