Graduates from Ewan's Introductory Leather Workshops (or with an equivalent or greater level of expertise in the craft) have been carrying out Leatherwork Projects that they undertake with help and supervision from Ewan.
The Leatherwork Projects activities for 2020 restarted on Wednesday 15 January 2020 - The plan is to continue our Wednesday mornings sessions, undertaking leatherwork projects as proposed by individuals or by the group of "regulars" - graduates of the Introductory Leather Workshop series.
Projects will include production of a stock of leather items that the Shed can offer for sale at fetes or other major public events. Individuals can also bring in their own projects, or propose other group projects. Ewan will be available for guidance and advice.
Numbers for these project sessions will be limited to 3 + Euan in the woodwork shed with anyone else having to go to the main shed, due to COVID-19 restrictions. So if you are not already involved approach Ewan and the other leather-workers at one of the session to see if there is any opportunity for you to join up.
Where individuals bring in their personal projects, they will be charged around cost price for materials (eg leather, buckles, clips, soling etc.) supplied from the SBMS stocks. SBMS will, of course, provide materials for production of SBMS stocks for sale.
